About
Who’s behind Guitar Key Finder?
Guitar Key Finder helps guitar players check chord progressions, find likely keys, and connect theory answers to useful fretboard choices.
Who maintains it
Guitar Key Finder is built and maintained by Clayton Ready.
Why I built it
I’m a guitarist and web developer. I started building these tools because I wanted a quicker way to check chord progressions, find likely keys, and see useful scale options on the fretboard.
What it includes
The site has grown from there: progression tools, chord and scale references, lessons, and fretboard views that all use the same underlying music theory data.
How content is made
Some pages are written as explanations, and others are generated from the site’s chord, scale, and fretboard data so they stay consistent from one key to another. I review the site as it grows and update pages when I find something wrong, unclear, or not useful enough.
Corrections
