Privacy policy

Privacy policy

This policy explains, at a high level, what information may be processed when you use guitarkeyfinder and how analytics, advertising, and consent handling are currently managed.

What this app does

guitarkeyfinder helps guitar players analyze chord progressions, browse scales, and explore common chord shapes. The app does not require an account to use its core features.

Analytics

This site uses Vercel Web Analytics to understand general traffic and feature usage. That analytics setup is used to measure aggregate page views and basic usage patterns so the app can be improved over time.

Advertising

This site may display advertisements served by Google AdSense on selected pages. Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on a visitor's prior visits to this website or other websites. Google's use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads based on visits to this site and other sites on the Internet.

Cookies

Vercel Web Analytics is intended to be privacy-conscious, but Google and other advertising vendors may use cookies or similar technologies for ad delivery, personalization, frequency capping, fraud prevention, and measurement. Depending on your region, those technologies may be subject to consent requirements.

Consent choices

Personalized ads will not be served to visitors in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, or Switzerland unless this site is using a Google-certified consent management platform integrated with the IAB Transparency and Consent Framework. Consent choices may affect whether personalized ads, non-personalized ads, or limited ad functionality are used.

What data may be processed

Basic technical request information may be processed, such as page paths, approximate device or browser details, referrer information, consent status, ad request information, and aggregated usage events. Chords and scale selections you enter are used in the app experience, and some interactions may be reflected in analytics or ad measurement systems.

How the information is used

Information may be used to understand which screens and features are useful, spot problems, improve the product, serve ads, limit fraud, measure ad performance, and comply with platform or regulatory requirements.

Third parties

The site is hosted on Vercel and uses Vercel Web Analytics. It may also use Google AdSense, Google's consent management tools, and other third-party advertising vendors or networks. Those providers may process technical request data needed to deliver the site, provide analytics, manage consent, and serve or measure ads. Review Google's advertising technologies policy for more information about how Google uses data for advertising.

Your choices

If a consent banner is shown, you can use it to make or revise advertising-related choices where applicable. You can opt out of personalized Google advertising through Google Ads Settings. You can also review opt-out choices for participating third-party vendors at aboutads.info and use privacy controls available in your browser or device.

Changes

This policy may be updated as the product changes, especially if new analytics, authentication, payments, or embedded third-party services are added.
