Barre chords get tight when you squeeze before the shape is set. Put the hand in place first, then add pressure.
Try this
F
Place only the index finger for F. Pick each string and roll the finger slightly until more notes ring.
Set the barre before you add the full shape.
Build the shape in steps
Get the barre ringing first. Then add the other fingers without locking the hand.
Apply it
F → G
Add the full shape and hold each chord for four slow beats. Relax your hand between attempts.
Variation
F → G → Am → C
Strum once per chord and let each change stay relaxed. Slow down if the hand tightens.
Keep the hand loose through the change.
A good setup makes the shape ring with less effort.
